Carry me over that mountain stream.
My car made it from Amarillo to my dad’s house, just north of Denver, despite having no functioning speedometer. This also meant my odometer was kaput, and it said I only drove two-tenths of a mile on Saturday. Due to the apparent shifting problems in fourth gear, I kept the car in third the whole way and tried to gauge my speed by watching the rpms and the pace of other vehicles. It worked well enough to get me here around 6 p.m. but it’s going to the shop tomorrow.
I’ve got a lot going on while I’m here, so don’t expect to hear from me. Just thought I’d let anyone overwhelmed with concern know that I’m no longer stuck in Texas and that the weather is great here in the mountains.

I’m glad you made it okay!! I was indeed overwhelmed with concern. Well, maybe not too overwhelmed….I was still able to function, but I was thinking about you.

liar. you don’t have a lot going on…you’re just sitting there staring at the wall, eating cookies and playing board games. admit it. :)

Thanks, Ash!

You know, at first I didn’t want to respond to this comment because I’m so busy right now. But I also didn’t want to leave anyone with the wrong impression. I’m not just sitting here staring at the wall, eating cookies and playing board games. I’ve also watched tennis, eaten carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, and only played a board game once!

haha! love it. :)
after i wrote the comment i thought, “i should have added tennis or he’ll make a stink about it.” i am jealous of the tennis and the carrot cake, of course. the board game? well, you know how i feel. :)

Yes, I am well aware of your feelings on “bored” games. :)

anyone who doesn’t like bored games is a liar or a cheat

your spelling of the word says it all. i rest my case. :) liars and cheats would use them to their advantage…i simply can’t be bothered with them. :)

I think after tomorrow, I’ll have reached my saturation point on board games for a while. We’ll see.
