Back to the front.

“I don’t give a damn for a man that can only spell a word one way.” - Mark Twain

So, I know everyone’s been on the edge of their seats wondering what the final outcome will be on the whole okay/OK question. I’m reclaiming my place at the tip of the spear and once again joining the epic battle to bring “okay” into popular usage. One day, the AP Styleguide will read: “Okay, okayed, okaying, okays. Do not use OK.”

I completely agree with you. OKAY it is, and I always wondered why the stylebook was so adamant about the abbreviation…

I suppose they have to be adamant about it or else it’s not much of a guide. Then again, if people like you and I can make our own decisions about usage, perhaps it’s just a guide after all.
